We are pleased to announce that Anne Zimmerman has joined AEGIS law’s growing litigation and dispute resolution group.  Anne has joined our growing St. Louis, Missouri practice.

Anne Zimmermann is a seasoned litigator with more than 14 years of experience. She represents clients at all stages of complex civil and commercial litigation and is licensed to practice law in Kansas and Missouri. At AEGIS Law, Anne’s practice focuses on litigation matters at the state, federal, and appellate levels. Accordingly, Anne is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Oklahoma; the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri; the District of Kansas; and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

Anne’s legal experience in both civil and commercial litigation is unparalleled. She routinely represents banks, corporations, and high net worth individuals in matters related to real estate; FCRA and FDCPA collections; tax planning, preparation, and auditing; estate planning; and CFPB and HUD discrimination complaints. Whether she is preparing for a trial or working on transactional issues, Anne is committed to providing effective legal advocacy and customized strategies that are both creative and cost-effective for her clients.

Before joining the firm, Anne worked as a litigator and trainer at a firm in St. Louis, Missouri. There Anne served as chief counsel for complex litigations in 3 states. She also trained and supervised other attorneys while maintaining a robust transactional practice in matters related to real estate, corporate law, and banking.

Anne graduated from Truman State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in Justice Systems. After college, she worked as a paralegal in the Trust Department at U.S. Bank. There Anne assisted administrators and portfolio managers in administering trust accounts for clients. Her work at the bank sparked Anne’s interest in the law and bolstered her decision to attend law school.

Anne received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa College of Law. In law school, she was awarded the Bank One Trust Company Award for Excellence and four CALI Excellence for the Future Awards. She also won the National Native American Law Student Association Writing Competition and published Taxation of Indians: An Analysis and Comparison of New Mexico and Oklahoma State Tax Laws, 41 Tulsa L.J. 91 in the University of Tulsa Law Review.

Outside of the office, Anne has been a volunteer with the St. Vincent De Paul Society in downtown St. Louis since 2010. She also serves as marshal/captain for St. Louis’ annual St. Patrick’s day parade. Anne enjoys the legal field because it is continuously evolving. She values her ability to listen to the concerns of her clients and provide effective legal counsel in this ever-changing landscape.
