Who is Reed Melnick?

Reed Melnick is an accomplished legal professional with a passion for righting wrongs for his clients. He specializes in contract negotiations, legal documentation, civil litigation, pleadings and motions, as well as stakeholder communication.

Reed has experience litigating both state and federal civil claims on behalf of the plaintiff’s and defendant’s sides. As a litigator, he successfully appealed to a county court judge in a civil action regarding the interpretation of a claim of exemption statute.

As a middle child, Reed was uniquely stricken by instances of injustice. In his career, he’s never lost his passion for fighting for what’s right. Reed is highly motivated to work on behalf of those experiencing injustice and is relentless in pursuing outcomes for clients. He frequently takes on pro bono work and often represents non-profit organizations and low-income clients.

Reed comes from a very entrepreneurial family, which bred a serious competitive streak in him. That streak has served him well throughout his career – Reed is an ardent defender of justice. With each new client he takes on, he delivers impactful results in fast-paced, dynamic legal environments.

Originally from Dallas, Texas, he now calls Wiggins, Colorado home. When he’s not working, Reed enjoys playing guitar, piano, drums, bass guitar, and singing. He’s produced records for country and hip hop artists in Colorado and plays shows on the weekends.

Reed received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado Boulder, where he focused his studies on Tax and Entrepreneurial Law. During his time at CU Boulder, he served as a committee member for the Colorado Stream Access Initiative and was involved with both the Latino Law Students Association and the Student Bar Association Representative.

Reed also has a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Messiah College in Grantham, Pennsylvania.
