Kevin Hoffmeyer is an accomplished partner at AEGIS Law, bringing extensive experience in merger and acquisition transactions and acts as outside “general counsel” for several small to medium sized businesses.

He routinely assists clients through the legal, financial, and strategic complexities of buying, selling, and merging businesses. Kevin advises clients on every stage of the deal process—from due diligence and contract negotiation to post-closing integration. Whether drafting sophisticated commercial agreements or advising on complex regulatory hurdles, Kevin’s approach is consistently focused on delivering results that facilitate long-term business success.

Prior to joining the firm in 2018, Kevin served as corporate counsel for a large national retailer, where he was responsible for overseeing the company’s real estate portfolio and commercial transactions. This in-house perspective allows him to move beyond traditional legal advice, offering practical solutions that are strategically aligned with the commercial objectives of his clients. Previously, Kevin was a transactional associate at two AmLaw 200 law firms, where he specialized in real estate, finance, and construction.

Kevin’s transactional portfolio demonstrates his deep versatility in navigating high-growth sectors and complex equity structures. In the digital economy, he has successfully guided an e-commerce aggregator through the acquisition of over 15 brands within the vitamin and supplement sectors and represented a SaaS-focused operator in the acquisition of more than eight specialized e-commerce businesses. His counsel extends into the industrial and professional services industries, where he recently represented a roofing services owner in a strategic sale and equity rollover to a private equity buyer, as well as the buyer in a successful equity acquisition of a metal manufacturing and fabrication firm. Beyond individual transactions, Kevin serves as a long-term strategic partner for his clients, providing comprehensive outside general counsel services and national expansion oversight for consulting and inspection firms.

Educational Excellence:

Kevin earned his JD and MBA from the University of Missouri and graduated summa cum laude from Mercyhurst University. During law school, he was a member of the Missouri Law Review, taught business law to undergraduates, and was recognized with several awards for academic excellence and advocacy.

Kevin is admitted to practice law in the state of Missouri.

Outside of his practice and when not corralling their three dogs, Kevin enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with his wife.
