Otto Hilbert brings over 36 years of first-chair trial and appellate experience to AEGIS Law. Admitted in Colorado, Wisconsin, and Arizona, he has tried cases across the country in 23 different states, including representation before the Supreme Court of the United States and the United States Tax Court.

His career is marked by a legacy of leadership in international and super-regional law firms. Otto has arbitrated for premier forums including FINRA, CBOE, NAM, and the National Futures Association. A former Chair of the Colorado Judicial Institute, he has held positions on over 42 local and national boards, reinforcing his commitment to the integrity of the legal profession.

Academic Foundation & Thought Leadership

Otto earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado (Boulder) and a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Literature and Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame, where he played varsity football.

As an educator, Otto has been a guest lecturer at the University of Denver, University of Colorado, and University of Notre Dame Law Schools. His extensive publications cover critical business issues ranging from corporate governance and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance to intellectual property and real estate law.

Inducted as a Super Lawyer and holding the highest possible ranking from Martindale-Hubbell, Otto continues to provide tactical intelligence and veteran stewardship to enterprise clients nationally and internationally.
