Maximilian Raileanu is a Georgetown, Texas–based attorney whose legal practice bridges both local roots and a truly global reach. Licensed to practice in Texas and Colorado, Max advises clients in general corporate counseling, start-ups, mergers and acquisitions, estate planning, and tax analysis—with a strong personal focus on international corporate and commercial law.
Max has worked with clients operating across borders, including those located in, or doing business in, the United Kingdom, Colombia, China, Australia, and beyond. His international experience is backed by his academic training: he earned an LL.M. in International Corporate and Commercial Law from King’s College London’s Dickson Poon School of Law, graduating with Merit. He also holds a J.D., cum laude, from the American University Washington College of Law, where he served as Senior Note & Comment Editor of the American University Business Law Review. His academic foundation began with a B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Colorado Boulder.
A first-generation American, Max is also a proud Lieutenant in the United States Coast Guard, where he continues to serve his country. His commitment to public service extends to his legal career, including pro bono legal work for military personnel, and his involvement with causes such as the Irreverent Warriors (preventing veteran suicide), Lone Survivor Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, and RAINN.
Max currently serves as a council member of the State Bar of Texas International Law Section and is the Managing Editor of the Global Law Review. He is deeply passionate about helping businesses navigate the complexities of international commerce, as well as supporting the entrepreneurial and family needs of his local Georgetown community. Georgetown is a special place to Max and his family, and he constantly seeks opportunities to assist his fellow community members achieve their legal goals.
When he’s not practicing law or serving the public, Max enjoys weight training, scuba diving, hiking, cooking, and cheering on the Texas Longhorns. Finally, as a serious history enthusiast, he’s currently immersed in Winston Churchill’s personal accounts of World War I and II.
