From 2017 to 2022, Sam served as General Counsel for an ownership group with multiple affiliated entities, including a national accounts receivable company, a federal contractor, and a software company. He established himself as a strategic and adaptable legal advisor, providing effective counsel during periods of significant growth. Sam’s responsibilities spanned across various legal matters, including employment, business licensing, regulatory issues, and contract drafting and review.
Sam has a proven track record of navigating risk and anticipating legislative changes, with experience in drafting and updating corporate policies and procedures, as well as extensive exposure to state and federal consumer protection and employment/labor laws. Before becoming General Counsel, Sam worked at several Denver area law firms, focusing on transactional business matters, asset protection, and tax issues.
Sam earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2014 and was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 2015. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Mary Washington, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and playing on the Men’s NCAA soccer team. Prior to entering the legal profession, Sam was a ski instructor at Vail, Beaver Creek, and Mount Perisher (Australia). Sam grew up in Hingham, MA.
