Cahill is a seasoned attorney who excels in optimizing businesses’ relationships with vendors, customers, and lenders, resulting in enhanced market presence, returns, and liquidity. He serves as outside general counsel for a heat-treating company in the automobile manufacturing supply chain and an executive producer of feature films, television shows, and documentaries.
Moreover, Cahill leads our developing Bankruptcy Law Practice Group, drawing on his previous role at L&G Law Group. His expertise spans chapter 11 cases, corporate restructuring scenarios, loan forbearance, assignments for the benefit of creditors, and UCC Article 9 foreclosure sales.
Cahill is also a prolific author, publishing treatises such as “Illinois Practice: Uniform Commercial Code Forms Annotated” and co-authoring “The Law of Debtors and Creditors.” He has contributed to the annually updated treatise “Commercial Bankruptcy Litigation” and has published numerous papers and participated in webinars and podcasts.
Outside of his legal endeavors, Cahill actively supports his community. He has served on the Board of Directors for “Lawyers Land a Hand to Youth,” a Chicago-based organization providing tutoring to underprivileged children. Additionally, he has held board positions with the TUTA Theatre Company and Baroque Band. Cahill’s diverse interests include film subtitling projects, collaborative translations, and his love for baseball.
