Margy is a highly accomplished corporate legal leader with exceptional skills in strategic planning, creative problem-solving, and proactive legal strategy. With over 25 years of in-house experience and an extensive background in mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, real estate and construction contracts, supply chain management, employment law, litigation management, international law, licensing, and intellectual property, she has become a trusted advisor to businesses of all sizes.
Margy’s commitment to helping businesses grow strategically and successfully is evident in her long-standing relationships with her clients. Before joining AEGIS Law, Margy spent several years at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner before going in-house, where she served as Assistant General Counsel for a $1 Billion global manufacturing company, Assistant General Counsel for a $2 Billion domestic manufacturer, and Senior Attorney for a Global Telecommunications company.
In these roles, Margy assisted each company in all aspects of their business, serving as a key member of each management team responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating all types of complex commercial contracts, handling regulatory matters, overseeing litigation, providing ongoing employee training and support, and ensuring appropriate governance. Her legal expertise, combined with her business acumen, has made her an invaluable asset to her clients.
Margy is a licensed CPA who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Illinois (summa cum laude). She received her Juris Doctorate from Washington University School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of Coif. She also served as the editor of the Washington University Law Quarterly. During law school, Margy was the recipient of numerous awards, including the Honor Scholar Award, the Fisse Merit Scholarship, the American Jurisprudence Award, and the Judge Amandus Brackman Prize (Best Brief) in the National Moot Court Competition.
Today, Margy is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois and has served on the boards for the Association of Corporate Counsel and Central Reform Congregation in St. Louis. She is also a global speaker and an avid triathlete who exercises daily and has competed in over 100 triathlons. Margy lives in St. Louis with her husband and has two grown sons.
