When I started my firm almost 15 years ago, I made a commitment to do things differently. Namely, the lawyers and professionals associated with AEGIS would understand the critical importance of developing and maintaining professional relationships. This would apply to employees, vendors, clients, prospective clients, and referring sources.
For many years, our firm organized and promoted an event series known as the Power Lunch. You may have attended. The series was a success in that we routinely attracted hundreds of attendees, nationally known speakers, and improved our firm’s brand awareness (and it was good for our egos). On the other hand, the series failed to help us really connect with or further develop new or established relationships in a meaningful way. The format provided limited opportunities for interaction among attendees. So, we suspended the program and replaced it with something more impactful.
For the past few years, we’ve been facilitating a program which organizes events with small groups of professionals (10-12). Each group has an invited set of non-competing professionals (e.g., lawyers, accountants, bankers, consultants, and marketing professionals). Events are held three times per year and have included wine tastings, cooking classes, golf outings, skeet shooting, and many more. The unique feature of these events is that each group members is required to invite a minimum of two business-owner guests.
By placing an emphasis on the creation of highly individualized events, participants were empowered to improve relationships with their clients, prospective clients and referral sources. And it worked. We have held many events, bringing hundreds of business owners together. The result has been measurably outstanding for our program participants.
And now we’re ready to scale the Catalyst program. Renee Moore has recently joined the firm to lead the effort. With this e-mail, we’d like to invite you to learn more about Catalyst and consider participation. There is no cost to join, and no long-term commitment. There is a per-person cost for each event, which varies based upon the cost associated with the event.
If you would like to learn more about the program, please e-mail Renee Moore at rmoore@aegisps.com. We are hosting a series of telephone conferences to help explain the program.
